Pizhichil, also known as "Thaila Dhara," is a unique and rejuvenating Ayurvedic therapy that combines two traditional treatments: Snehana (oleation) and Swedana (sudation). It involves the continuous pouring of warm medicated oil over the body while simultaneously massaging with rhythmic strokes.
During a Pizhichil session, medicated oil, typically herbalized sesame oil or a combination of various oils, is heated and poured over the entire body in a gentle and synchronized manner. The oil is continuously replenished and massaged into the skin, allowing it to penetrate deeply into the tissues.
